We are pleased to let you know that the Call for Abstracts for the 2019 collaborative nursing theory conference is now available through the following link:
Although the deadline for submitting an abstract is May, 2019 (see form for the exact date), please start thinking now about what you would like to submit. We hope to again be able to have presenters present from a distance and would like to also have translators available as we did for the 2017. However, these are two details we still need to work out.
Regardless, please plan to submit an abstract for this unique conference. Thank you. From: Campaign for Action <FutureofNursing@email.aarp.org>
NOTE: We apologize that this web site cannot accommodate the Chinese and Japanese languages.
Gracias.

Nurse Leaders Improving Access to Care through Telehealth
Thursday, October 18, 2018| 3:30-5 p.m. ET
Registered nurses are vital in delivering high-quality telehealth.
They lead the way in using telehealth to improve wellness for vulnerable populations. Not only are nurses delivering care and managing telehealth programs, they also provide organizational and public policy leadership on the increasing use of telehealth.
Learn more when we hear from two nurse leaders of telehealth services in large health systems. Their teams serve a range of people with various chronic needs, including pregnant women with diabetes and older adults requiring ventilator care. Participants will learn how nurses are leading telehealth initiatives to help people transition from acute care to home, and to help people of all ages obtain high-quality care at home.
The Campaign for Action will also explore how state laws can be barriers to telehealth care, including the effect of state-level licensing laws for RNs and APRNs. This topic aligns with AARP's mission to help empower older adults to live with dignity in a place of their choosing.

TV News Coverage of KING 2017 Conference
A television reporter interviewed Dr. Lachel Story and Dr. Christina Sieloff about the 2017 conference (link below):
Your scholarly work, related to Imogene King's work, is needed to be submitted to
the Virginia Henderson Global Nursing e-repository
The King International Nursing Group has just established an Events collection on the Virginia Henderson Global Nursing e-repository so that abstracts and slides from our biannual conferences can be included on the e-repository.
We are also hoping to establish another collection, associated with the K.I.N.G., that would include all documents/scholarly efforts that use Imogene King's work and related theories. As a result, I am writing to encourage you, your colleagues and any nursing students to consider submitting their work to this e-repository. It is a wonderful way to, without cost, disseminate one's work globally. Submission can include, but are not limited to:
Pre-print article* (The draft of an article that has been submitted to a journal, but not peer-reviewed or edited.)
As-published article* (The version that appears in the print and/or online journal.)
Post-print article* (The version of an article that has been submitted to a journal, peer-reviewed and edited.)
DNP capstone project/paper
Research Study Report
Dataset (raw data from survey results, etc.)**
Faculty Created Learning Objects
Presentation Papers and/or Slides
* Authors are responsible for determining the version allowed for deposit by the publisher/journal prior to submitting it to the Henderson e-repository. See the Sherpa/RoMeo database.
** All data must be scrubbed of personal information prior to submission."

The following is a link to their author information page (Author Assistant Page: http://www.nursinglibrary.org/vhl/pages/Author_Info.html). Please remind them to add"King International Nursing Group" to the description field during the submission process so that they may be identified from other submissions. Once 100 submissions have been approved and posted, we could work on having them copied to a separate K.I.N.G. collection.
Thank you so much for your help in disseminating nurses' work related to the work of Dr. King.
